Everyone in the workplace has a role in preventing and addressing bullying and harassment. This workplace training program assists employers and employees in proactively addressing bullying and harassment in the workplace by the requirements set by the Canada Labour Code, WorkSafeBC, the BC Human Rights Code, and the Canadian Human Rights Act.
Workplace bullying and harassment is an occupational hazards; therefore, all sections of the Workers Compensation Act that protect workers from exposure to hazards are applicable. Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committees must understand their role in taking reasonable steps to eliminate or minimize workplace bullying and harassment.
